Xerox Exotique #035: Phal:Angst – Svartvit – 09.02.2019

Svartvit is a Dutch project that breaches the gap between harsh noise sound experimentation and performance art. It was founded in 2008 by sound artist Kevin Jansen and is currently residing in the city of The Hague, The Netherlands, taking influences from Viennese Actionism, Russian constructivism, Club Moral & Hardcore-Punk. The result is a very personal and emotional presentation of a troubled mind, overtaking and often physical. Over the last few years Svartvit played more than 300 shows in 22 different countries & released on labels like TESCO and Monolithische Aktion.

Xerox Exotique #034: Ale Hop – Rod Rigo – 28.11.2018

Peruvian based in Berlin experimental electronic musician Ale Hop crafts complex pop arrangements with an experimental noise edge, utilizing analog effects and computer programs in order to mutate and reshape her guitar and voice. Songwriter, music producer and sound artist in equal parts, Ale Hop earned a master degree in Sound Studies from the University of Arts of Berlin. She won the residence RBMA New York 2013, where she released her debut album ‘La Guerra Invisible’ and made her first live performance in Boiler Room. When not working on her solo endeavors, she is engaged with creating scores for films, television and theater projects. She has presented her work in concerts and exhibitions in Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, United States, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Turkey in the past years. She is currently promoting her new album ‘Bodiless’, released in cassette in May 2018 on Buh Records.

Thrilled by and part of the 90s techno movement Rod Rigo started producing tracks in the very early nineties. Beside producing techno which used to be called “amtlich” these days he was always also on the experimental side trying to overcome boundaries in sound design. Among others he has collaborations with Suspicion Breeds Confidence, Buc Precious and Miss Shiva. On tonight’s show anything from noise to 42theFloor can be expected.

Xerox Exotique #033: Kazehito Seki – … – NuR – Tzii – 19.12.2018

Kazehito Seki is an amplified voice artist. From Tokyo. Voiz set is played just with 1 or 2 microphone/s with NO electronic FX. Working on the sound produced from the vocal organ in broader and more concrete sense, relativises the existing interpretation of the “voice” (such as singing, talking, etc). The wide spectrum flickers in subtle ambience, intense silence and brutal harsh noise in a microsecond.

Self Toxication is another project that abstracts the “voice” forming into the sound deeper. The toxin over amplified in stereo channels feedbacking between soundsystem and the physicality (as the hardcore), cuts up himself messing up at the top speed of harsh noise.

Since 2006, Kazehito has been blasting his voice in numerous projects, bands with following keywords >>> cutups, drone, experimental, grind, noiserock, sadcore, sludge, “Voiz” choir, and collaborations with >>> butoh, installations, videofeedbacks, etc. Some of his past stages are listed as below: allEars (2018 / Oslo), Ende Tymes (2017 / NYC), MultiDOM (2016-17 / Over Europe), ART MEETING (2016, 14 / Fukushima), FRIV Festival (2016 / Poznań), MultiMadeira (2015 / Madeira), (LUFF2016, 15 / Lausanne), etc.

Self Toxication

. . .  –  Since his twenties, the being behind the soundless moniker . . . (as known as Nikola H. Mounoud) process in real time; analog, digital and hybrid feedbacks in order to produce unique, powerful and highly dynamic live performances where irresponsible noise, unexpected dense sonic blasts, total non-sense and deep irrationality meets allowing the audience to absorb the unleashed raw beauty of the frequencies wrath.

Traffucked field recordings. Severely screwed and always delayed recordings due to high levels of compression. a set for the last ones and the retarded.

Since the 90’s Tzii, music composer and filmmaker, spreads his frequencies all over the world through touring from Eastern and Western Europe to Australia, passing by USA, South-East Asia, Canada, Japan, Indonesia and Africa, where he played hundreds of shows..… “A mountain of multiple figures” as defined by Nyx … His main aim is to reach transcendance through sound trance, layering and looping to another dimension …… To do so he explores infinite different worlds and expressions, from music to performance or collective creations. One thing always remains in his works : they’re impossible to fit in any box. He’s part of several other projects like SOLAR SKELETONS, MS30, 1997EV, VIRIL, AEROBICONOISE and works also for dance companies, living performances, movie soundtracks and any other mediums with sound inside ….. He collaborated on stage or in studio with numerous other fellow musicians around the world and is currently engaged in a never ending world tour …..
