Claus Poulsen<\/strong> (b. 1968) is a musician and producer living in Copenhagen, Denmark, who has been a part of the electronic and experimental scene since 1995, when he formed the noise-ensemble Alarm112. CP has continued with a number of projects since then.
The name of the game is free improvisation, experimentation and artistic challenge. CP plays both non-instruments (amplified objects, dictaphone, turntable, bonsai tree), instruments (string instruments, keyboards, percussion) and electronics (laptop, electronics, synthesizer).
A versatile improviser, his music projects span across genres\u00a0 such as ambient\/aoundscape (solo), noise, direct action lo-fi improv (Star Turbine) and freejazz (Blind Man\u2019s Band).
CP is highly active releasing cassettes, CDs and vinyl (on labels such as Insula Jazz, Dokuro, Sound Holes, Invisible City, Matching Head, Metaphysical Circuits, Chocolate Monk and Sonic Meditations), tours frequently in Denmark and Europe and also helps other artists producing, editing, recording, mastering and making cover art.
During the last few years, the main focus has been exploring possibilites on the zither in tandem with effects.

SixTurnsNine: <\/strong>Strahlend hell und gespenstisch d\u00fcster, nahbar warm und k\u00fchl distanziert, zerbrechlich und felsenfest, klar und mehrdeutig, tr\u00f6stlich und verst\u00f6rend, kantig und geschmeidig, einfach und vielschichtig. Die Musik von SixTurnNine ist ein Schmelztiegel der (scheinbaren) Gegens\u00e4tze. Im Ohr ebenso wie vor dem geistigen Auge bleibt alles eine Frage der Perspektive, die immer davon abh\u00e4ngt, in welchem Mindset sich der H\u00f6rer befindet.
Dabei halten SixTurnsNine die Zutatenliste f\u00fcr ihren ureigenen Sound-Cocktail bewusst kurz: Meist aufreizend langsame Beats und Drumloops, die an die kurze goldene \u00c4ra des Trip-Hop erinnern, unterlegen oft stoisch repetitive Basslinien und Vintage-Keyboards. Zus\u00e4tzliche Spannung bringen dezente Industrial-St\u00f6rfeuer und wohl temperierte Dark-Ambient-Soundcollagen. All das l\u00e4sst stets genug Raum f\u00fcr die bluesig tiefe wie ausdrucksstarken Stimme von Anja Valpiani. So trifft Pathos aus der Proto-Goth-Zeit auf urw\u00fcchsige Post-Punk-Power und Hippie-Vibes.

Eine Erkl\u00e4rung f\u00fcr den ungew\u00f6hnlichen Ansatz von SixTurnsNine sind die gegens\u00e4tzlichen musikalischen Hintergr\u00fcnde der drei Musiker ( Electronica\/Ambient\/Industrial\/Noise, Death Metal, Psychedelic Blues Rock).
